Name: Amanda
Helena Elizabeth Marion
I twirled
with the Strutters from: 2001-?
When I
twirled I lived in: Burlington
I now live
in: Fort Drum, New York
After high
school I: went to college for a few years, and
then enlisted into the US Army
Currently I:
am gearing up for a 3rd deployment as a Combat
Medic in the US Army
My most
memorable twirling moment: would be my last
Massachusetts State Competition in Townsend before I left
for basic training...not only did I place top 3 in every
event that I entered, but it was a memorable way to end a
great twirling time with the Bay State Strutters.
What life
lesson I learned from twirling: is that not
everything will come with ease. You have to be patient,
keep trying, and never give up! If at first you don't
succeed, try harder!
My twirling
teacher was: Tracey (and Elaine sometimes)
I still take
out my batons once in a while (true/false): Very
True! I have even brought them on a deployment with
me...twice!
I twirled at:
Shawsheen Valley Tech High School in Billerica, MA
The team I
was on was: Spirit of Massachusetts and individual
solo twirler with the Bay State Strutters
Other:
I have been serving as a Sergeant in the United States Army
